Iowa State University Master of Science in Agronomy
This is the first Master of Science in Agronomy you can earn from your home or office by using your computer and the Internet. The program was designed and is aimed at professionals working in industry and government-emphasizes development of superior problem-solving and communication skills. It is a 40-credit, non-thesis program that provides a diverse background in agronomy and related disciplines by integrating crop, soil, climate, and pest management information into a rigorous curriculum. Students in the M.S. in Agronomy Program also develop and complete a professional development project called a creative component.
Built-in flexibility allows students to complete the program at their own pace relative to their professional, family, and other commitments. This means students can study when and where their schedule permits. The time required to complete the degree is flexible, and although it is possible to finish in two years, most students enroll in only one or two courses per semester while working full time. Therefore, most students achieve their masters in three to five years.
CEUs can be obtained for these courses by completing a Self-Reported CEU form and submitting this form along with a course syllabus and course grade slip to the International CCA Office. CEUs are figured as 15 x semester credits and 9 x quarter credits and can be reported in only one CEU category.
